I would Like to thank all of these fathers and daughters that will be breaking their arrows this year and having to put an end to an experience they will never forget. You will be greatly missed and we wish you the best.

The Mighty Blackfoot tribe is part of the Seminole Nation group of Indian Princesses. It is made up of members from the Coral Springs and Parkland areas.

From a daughter's perspective there is an opportunity to have a wide circle of friends, to get a sense of identity and belonging that is rare in today's world of small families. It is like having a dozen sisters and uncles to trust and rely on. The older girls take on leadership roles, helping and teaching the younger ones.
In addition to forming strong parent/child relationships, the program also provides opportunities:

• To see things and do things you otherwise might not: camping in the Everglades, Canoeing a wild and scenic river, Horseback riding around Sunset Lake, sifting for shark's teeth and other fossils.....

• To meet other parents and children and make lasting friendships. To join in a large circle of friends you have much in common with and will enjoy sharing with (parents as much as kids)

• To learn more about where you live -- to see the big and little places that make Florida special, from Lake Wales to Arcadia, Umatilla, Fruitland Park, Fish Eating Creek, and many more.

and finally,

It is said that once we get you to your first campout you will be hooked. And its true. Once you and your daughter are apart of our fire walk and the Arrow Breaking ceremony then you will get it. The fire walk usually  begins around dusk, we go from tribe to tribe picking them up to follow the medicine man( In coming Nation Chief). We then form a huge circle in a field this could be  200 to 400 +  dads and daughters depending on the location of the campout, this is where we summoned the Nations Chief. Once he appears we then move to where the bon fire will be and we start the ceremonies. When a Daughter reaches a certain age (12 to15 yrs old) and is ready to leave the program her and her father will go through the Arrow Breaking Ceremony this is where the memories that have been built between them will be shared and the emotions will usually poor out. NOT A DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE..
